Sail the Balearic Islands
The Balearic Islands are the Western Mediterranean's paradise. Four main islands—Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera—plus a string of islets form one of Europe's most coveted sailing destinations. From the Muelle de las Golondrinas in Palma and the ports of Mahón, Ibiza or La Savina, you access virgin coves, crystal-clear waters and corners best seen from the water. Renting a boat in the Balearic Islands means sailing freely, anchoring wherever you fancy and discovering each island at your own pace, away from the crowds on land.
Everything included in every trip
Every rental includes a professional local skipper who knows the best anchorages, currents and the particularities of each coast. Fuel, insurance, cleaning and personalized route are on us. Most boats come with a cooler with drinks, snorkel gear and everything needed for a day on the water. You set the pace: whether you prefer exploring coves on a single island, sailing between islets or combining land and sea, we adapt.
Favorite routes in the Balearic Islands
- Palma and the Bay: From Palma's waterfront, the Cathedral as backdrop and quick access to Cala Major, Illetes and Mallorca's southwest coast. Perfect for those wanting city and beach in one day.
- Cabrera and Es Trenc: The Cabrera National Park from Colonia de Sant Jordi, protected waters and the virgin beach of Es Trenc. Pure nature.
- Northern Menorca: Wild coves, prehistoric cliffs and that turquoise blue characterizing the archipelago's quietest island. Cala Morell, Algaiarens, Cavalleria.
- Ibiza and Formentera: Ses Salines, Es Vedrà, Espalmador and Formentera's postcard beaches. The perfect combo of atmosphere and nature.
Available boat types
From agile motorboats and RIBs to explore multiple coves in a day, traditional Balearic llaüts with authentic island charm, stable and spacious catamarans for groups or families, to sailboats and yachts for those wanting to make sailing a complete experience. If you're unsure which boat to choose, we'll help you find the one that best fits your plan and the island you want to explore.
When to book?
Summer (June to September) is high season: calm seas, guaranteed sunshine and coves at their best. But spring and autumn offer mild temperatures, fewer people in the water and better prices. The Balearic Islands enjoy a privileged climate almost year-round. Book ahead in July and August; the rest of the year there's more flexibility. Weekends and bank holidays always book up first.
